Maple Memo: Notice Regarding Account Sanctions Across Global MapleStory and Global MapleStory Classic World

Ahead of the launch of Global MapleStory Classic World, we would like to provide clarity on how account sanctions are applied across Global MapleStory services, and to share the standard of play environment we are committed to upholding as Global MapleStory Classic World begins.

Ahead of the launch of Global MapleStory Classic World, we would like to provide clarity on how account sanctions are applied across Global MapleStory services, and to share the standard of play environment we are committed to upholding as Global MapleStory Classic World begins.

Global MapleStory and Global MapleStory Classic World operate as one game service under a single account. Account sanctions will be enforced across both worlds. A penalty issued in one world extends to the other, and players cannot avoid punishment by simply switching games. For example:

• An account that is banned in Global MapleStory will also be banned in Global MapleStory Classic World.
• An account that is banned in Global MapleStory Classic World will also be banned in Global MapleStory.

We are committed to ensuring that Global MapleStory Classic World begins on solid footing. As the health of a new world is shaped by the environment it launches into, we believe every player deserves a fair and consistent experience regardless of being a returning veteran or someone discovering MapleStory for the first time.

The overwhelming majority of our community who continue to engage with our services in accordance with the Terms of Service will experience no change or interruption. We encourage all players to familiarize themselves with the MapleStory Terms of Service, to clarify the standards under which we all play.

Our objective is not to penalize, but to preserve MapleStory as a service that is welcoming, fair, and worthy of the community it serves, across every world we operate.

Thank you for being part of the Global MapleStory community.
