Making Mesos Before Level 30: Quests, Drops, Potions and Crafting

Which quests, monsters, potions and crafting materials give the most mesos between levels 1 and 30.

· 6 min read

Quests with item rewards, levels 8 to 23

At level 8, Olaf's First Training and Phil's Call each give a Red Potion and a Blue Potion.

The Kerning City chain at level 10 has three parts: Andre's Request, Don Hwang's Request and Shumi's Request. Starting Don Hwang's Request costs 1,000 mesos. The whole chain gives 15 Lemons, 15 Cakes, 2 Kerning City return scrolls, Work Gloves, 513 EXP and 876 mesos. Lemons and Cakes cost 150 mesos each in shops, so the food alone is worth 4,500 mesos.

Levels 15 to 23:

The Kerning City construction site quest is at level 35. It has three parts and pays the most of any quest listed here:

Level
35
EXP (3 parts)
12,486
Mesos (3 parts)
12,046
Items
30 Blue Potions, 30 Mana Elixirs, return scrolls

At level 30, the job advancement tests such as Test of Qualification give 3,150 EXP each.

Citizenship quests

Citizenship opens at level 12. You choose Henesys or Kerning City. Each town has daily quests, weekly quests and one-time quests.

Citizenship quests in the game files
88
Best weekly payout at level 12
8,718 EXP and 1,521 mesos
Zombie Mushroom EXP per kill
45

The best weekly Donating quest gives 8,718 EXP and 1,521 mesos. That equals about 190 Zombie Mushroom kills.

Lists: weekly quests, daily quests, all citizenship quests. Players report that the contribution you earn unlocks better shop items and discounts on services such as taxis and storage.

Some shop items already show a rank requirement:

Monsters with useful drops, levels 14 to 40

Classic drop rates are not measured yet. The percentages on this site come from an older version of the game or are marked as estimates. The drops listed here are the ones players have reported.

  • Green Mushroom Level 14. Claw Attack Scroll (Intermediate), Fragment of Magic.
  • Blue Mushroom Level 19. Gloves Crit. Rate Scroll (Greater).
  • Dark Axe Stump Level 23. Wooden Top throwing stars.
  • Zombie Mushroom Level 24. Claw Attack Scroll (Intermediate), Spear Attack Scroll (Greater). Ant Tunnel is the usual place to hunt it.
  • Fire Boar Level 32. Earring STR Scroll (Greater) and many equipment drops.
  • Jr. Wraith Level 34. Mokbi Throwing Stars.
  • Mushmom Level 40, area boss. Ilbi Throwing Stars, Gloves Attack Scroll (Intermediate).

In our data, Ilbi Throwing Stars drop only from Mushmom and Zombie Mushmom.

Before selling a drop to an NPC, check what other players pay for it. Scrolls that sell quickly, such as these, are worth tracking:

Potions and food: HP and MP per meso

Meat
160 HP for 80 mesos
Red Potion
100 HP for 50 mesos
Orange Potion
250 HP for 150 mesos
Lemon
150 MP for 150 mesos

Meat, Red Potions, apples and eggs all give 2 HP per meso. The Orange Potion gives 1.7. A hit that does 50 damage costs about 25 mesos to heal with Meat, so avoiding damage saves mesos directly. Ranged classes can stay out of reach of most monsters more easily.

Crafting materials worth keeping

Many early drops sell to NPCs for 10 mesos but are used in crafting. The item page of each drop lists the recipes that use it.

  • Fragment of Magic NPC price 10 mesos. Used in 24 recipes. Dropped by Green Mushroom and Octopus.
  • Leather NPC price 10 mesos. 5 Leather make Processed Leather, which is used in 101 recipes.
  • Pig's Ribbon NPC price 10 mesos. 10 Pig's Ribbons make Processed Cloth, which is used in 57 recipes.

Arrows are the easiest recipe to profit from. The prices below are what an NPC pays for the arrows and the materials, so they are a minimum:

All recipes: crafting.

Equipment spending

Buying armor early leaves too little for potions. Spend on the weapon first and upgrade it when the next tier unlocks, about every five levels. Armor can wait, or you can craft it from drops instead of buying it. See equipment for requirements by slot.
